Business terms

1. Listings

Basic listings are free. You confirm you're authorised to act for the business and that what you publish (text, logo, photos) is accurate, yours to use, and not misleading. We may edit or remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

2. Paid plans

Premium (R299.00/month) and Top Pick (R1500.00/month, one per trade) are paid one month at a time, in advance, by card through Yoco. Nothing renews automatically: we email you before your paid month ends with a link to renew. If you don't renew, your listing goes back to the free plan. Launch offer: the first 20 businesses to claim a listing get Premium free for 3 months, with no card required; afterwards the listing returns to the free plan unless you choose to pay. Introductory price: a listing's first paid month of Premium costs R99; later months are the normal price. Card payments appear on your bank statement as Benoni Pros. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. You get an invoice by email with every payment, and your invoices are in your account. Paid placement is disclosed: paid listings appear first and in "Featured" boxes on service pages and guides, always labelled as paid placement, including in the machine-readable summaries we publish for search engines and AI assistants. We can't guarantee how Google, ChatGPT or any other service ranks or recommends a business.

3. Cancelling and refunds

There's no contract: you can stop at any time simply by not renewing. A month you've paid for isn't refundable once it has started, and stays active until the end of that month. If you're charged in error (for example, twice for the same month), we refund the extra payment in full. Ask us through the help page.

4. Quote requests and reviews

If we send you a homeowner's quote request, use their details only to respond to that job, and don't add them to marketing lists. Reviews must come from genuine customers: don't write reviews of your own business or offer anything in exchange for positive reviews. We may remove a listing or reviews that break this rule. You can reply publicly to reviews and report reviews you believe aren't genuine.

5. No guarantee of work

We show you where you appear and how many people view and contact you, but we can't guarantee a number of visitors, calls or jobs. Your stats are shown honestly from our own records.

6. Customers

Any work you do is between you and the customer. We are a directory, not a party to that work, and we're not responsible for quotes, workmanship or payment between you and your customers.

7. Your information

We handle your details under our privacy policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can remove your listing at any time from your account.

8. Changes

We may change prices or these terms with 30 days' notice by email. If you don't agree you can cancel before the change takes effect.
